˙Buying
used bicycles
|
Many old and ownerless bicycles are found on
campus. In order to make effective use of the
limited bicycle parking spaces these bicycles
are towed to the Shueiyuan Campus from time
to time where owners could reclaim them within
3 months. After the 3-month period these bicycles
will be repaired and serviced before they are
auctioned to the students, faculty and staff
members of the university at reasonably low
prices.
The auctions are not held regularly but all
students, faculty and staff members will be
notified by email 2 weeks before the auction
and the auction will be held at the bicycle
area on the ShuiYuan Campus. The number of
bicycles available for auction will not be the
same at every auction and will be sold on a
first-come-first-served basis. Each second hand
bicycle will be auctioned at about NT$400 and
all income from the auction will go to the university
affairs funds dedicated to affairs related to
bicycles.
